Bar Mitzvah Season

This past year, oh so fab, ventured into a new territory....the Bar/Bat Mitzvah scene. We were so fortunate to work with amazing clients to create two incredible, yet very different themes. Zak's was a science theme at The Liberty Science Center created by Tina, Christy, and Allyson and Evan's was an African Jungle theme at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club spearheaded by Tina, Christy, and Melissa. Both received rave reviews from our clients as well as guests at the events. There was so much buzz around them that The Knot's division, Partyspot.com, requested photos and information to feature them both. Keep checking their site for more pics of these gorgeous affairs!

Coming Soon......

We were asked by Brides New York, who is always so good to us, to submit creative ideas for unique favors we have done that readers could replicate on their own for their "Make it Yours" article in the Fall/Winter 2008 issue. The featured idea was of Allyson and Melissa's in their September wedding for Jen and Ed Chang, a fantastic oh so fab couple who was married at the Jersey City Hyatt! The fabbies created a snack buffet with monogrammed tote bags, gourmet popcorn, gourmet cookies and old-fashioned sodas for guests to fill "to go" bags to take with them at the end of the evening. The favor was a huge hit for our clients and we know it will be for Brides readers as well!

An interview with the planner....

Currently Tina is featured on the NJ Bride website as a featured "Ask The Expert"

Hot Off The Presses!

oh so fab is in not one... not two.... but THREE publications right now. We have a fun "double feature" in the Spring 2008 New Jersey Bride issue. We were picked to showcaes not one, but two of our weddings that we designed for a lovely family in NJ for two daughters getting married only six weeks apart. Christy GG and I paired up to create these very different but fun events. It's a fun story with gorgeous images from Jeff Vock. The next issue we are a part of is The Knot Spring/Summer 2008, and we feature one of our all time favorite couples, Rachael & Chris. Their unique and chic wedding was really one of our most cherished events, not only because of the gorgeous design, but the couple was just amazing to work with. Our own GG did all the florals for this event, is she creative or WHAT? Thanks to Photography By Rebecca for some amazing detail shots. And finally, In Bride's NJ, Tina was interviewed for her expert "Black Book" opinions on the best of the Metropolitan Area's vendors. Check out all these exciting issues, all on newsstands now!

Weiss Meets Weiss

Recently, one of our FAVORITE photographers, asked me, Melissa Weiss, to sit down and interview with him for his blog. Of course, I was thrilled to do it and to talk about oh so fab! Danny challenged me to actually think about important things like cocktail franks and celebrity weddings and I was happy to oblige. I look forward to interviewing him for OUR blog! She's so fabulous...

On March 27th at 8:56 am oh so fabulous welcomed their newest member into the world. Lily Rose LaMorte was born, weighing in at 6lbs 5.8oz. She's already fabulous!
Mom, Dad and Big Brother Charlie are all doing great and loving the newest member to the family!

A Celebrity Event at Cipriani 42nd

On March 20th, oh so fab was commissioned to design an event for the Shinnyo-En foundation, a non-profit Buddhist organization based out of the West Coast. Their PR firm hired us to come up with a colorful but meaningful design schematic for the event which was a 500 person sit-down dinner honoring celebrities who have helped find their own individual "Paths To Peace". This year the awards went to Morgan Freeman, Mira Sorvino and Marc Ecko.

Needless to say, this experience was an amazing opportunity for oh so fabulous, and we are thrilled with how absolutely gorgeous all the details turned out. Special thanks to Katie at Urban Dahlia for her drop dead gorgeous florals, and Jeffery Vock for taking the time out of his busy schedule to shoot these fabulous detail images for our website/blog/portfolio.

I also wanted to say thank you to all the ladies on staff who really pulled it together and made this very logistically challenging event a success. This was truly a team effort and I was so proud of you all!
