What can I say I mean these images from the one and only Danny Weiss say it ALL! This Bat Mitzvah was the second party we designed for the Hait family and we just had a FIELD DAY with this one!
We mixed a funky masquerade theme with a little spooky fun, set against the perfect backdrop of Natirar's breathtaking mansion and grounds.

Amazing details and the perfect mix of talented pros helped this day become one of our biggest and loftiest projects to date!

We met Derrick two years ago when we worked with him for the wedding of Rip and TJ Hamilton, and we kept in touch and have had the pleasure of working with him again on some events. Well when it was time for him and the gorgeous Kelli Coleman to celebrate the upcoming birth of their baby girl next month, they called on oh so fab to make the shower a success.

We planned the Slass Family's first son's Bar Mitzvah three years ago, and so when we got the call last year to plan their second son Jacob's party we were thrilled. Jake wanted something fun and different, he loved hip hop and sports so we ran with a theme (coined by Christy) "it's not a game, it's a lifestyle" We simply loved this "look"

Tabletops, tabletops and more tabletops!

The month of March will now officially be known as "Sample Month". We had eight samples this month in a matter of three weeks...that's a lot of design going on!

Here are pictures of two of the gorgeous tabletops we designed for some upcoming Summer events.

The first is the most romantic tabletop I think we have ever done. Mary Mazzone of Ciao Bella Floral Styling came up with this beautiful design. Combined with these outrageous linens and tabletop rentals, this wedding is going to be out of this world!

The second is an amazing and royally chic design from our collaboration with Floral Designs by Cindy. This wedding is going to be AMAZING, you just can't go wrong with purple and gold. love it!

Vintage Shower

Recently we had the pleasure of working with an adorable Mother and Daughter who wanted to throw a fabulous shower for their daughter/sister who is getting married this May. Kelly and her Mom came to us after seeing my BFF's fabulous tres chic pink Parisian shower from last April in Inside Wedding's Winter issue. They totally left this fun and vintage theme in our hands and trusted us completely to WOW the bride and her guests. We had such fun putting this adorable shower together for the lovely bride to be, Erin.

Girly Girl to the MAX!

We love designing Bar and Bat Mitzvahs....Weddings are our first love of course but with the recent influx of some amazing Bar and Bat Mitzvahs we've had in the past year, we are having a BALL. A wonderful client came to us less than five months ago with no theme, no design and no idea what to do for her adorable daughter's Bat Mitzvah....With a little sparkle and a whole lotta fabulous (and some help from the best in the industry) we pulled off this amazing event this past weekend at The Primavera Regency in Sterling NJ.
The lovely Meryl treated her guests to a gorgeous room filled with cotton candy colors, chandeliers at every turn, and a fun lounge area that these kids truly enjoyed throughout the whole party.

My BFF's Shower

So, it's exciting to get press. It's more exciting when you get LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF PRESS. But what's the most exciting is when you get lots and lots of press for planning your very best friend's wedding and bridal shower! When my bestie Jena got married last year, I was not only pround and honored to be her Maid of Honor (ok Matron but I just hate that term) but I was left with the task of planning all the festivities leading up to the big day AND the big day itself. Best client I ever had, easiest Mother in the world to work with and BEST bridal party EVER!!! The reward came in the form of amazing National press in the highly regarded Inside Weddings.

Well Folks, I have been a bad bad blogger. I can't tell you how BUSY we've been here in fabbie land, it't been just insane, NOT complaining! But there isn't a minute in the day between work and my family to get a blog in...SO here I am way behind sitting in my kitchen blogging for all of you amazing fans! More great PRESS to come, but for now here's some yummy yummy eye candy for you.

First we have a twist on the classic! This is a sample we did for a fabulous client getting married in March at the Newark Club...We're doing a simple color story, nudes/taupes and popping it with lots of bold black. White crisp flowers set against these jet black vases looked amazing! Can't wait for this wedding! It helps when the bride has fab style and is a graphic designer herself! She's designign all the day of stationery and it's sooooooo beautiful!

The next sample is for a DARLING Bat Mitzvah we're designing for the end of this month! We juts loved the adorable bling monogram Shelly and Bernadtte over at Elle Ette Designs came up with for the tabletop. IT was the sole inspiration for the girly girl chandelier look for the table. This is going to be super cute, can't WAIT for this room design! Don't you LOVE this linen?

Recently(201) Bride Magazine asked us to put together a table top using any color story we wanted (I love when that happens) that would illustrate our take on a rehearsal dinner.

We loved doing this!

We worked with some great local Bergen County experts to perfect the look. I can't post too many of the gorgeous images shot by Desiree from dMdC photography because you'll have to wait until the issue comes out to see them all BUT here is a sneek peek at some of the pictures.

WOW what a gorgeous event. I love this color combo-aubergine and magenta (not purple and pink people, it's aubergine and magenta!)

We had a ball at the Mezzanine, it was a pleasure to work with Ben and his crew. The space is a really cool old bank in Newark that has lots of old world charm and super amazing high gold gilded ceilings. We had a great time designing this amazing wedding for a really sweet couple, Jenn and Joe who are on their way to Hawaii as we speak!

It's that time of year again! The fabbies have been out and about at industry events all over NJ! First we kicked it off with the Knot NJ party at the always beautiful Palace at Somerset Park, such a FUN night. Mingled with some of the industries best vendors and special congrats to the ladies of Pampered Bride Weddings for a doing a great job organizing and designing the event.

Then it was off to the Brides.com party held at the cool new Jersey City space overlooking NYC, Maritime Parc. It was great to again see so many vendors we work with and have some fun!

This past weekend we designed an amazing 70th Birthday party for a former client of ours. The party was gorgeous, it was held at their private residence in NJ. We had the talented ladies at Elle Ette Designs create a crest for the birthday boy, complete with all his favorite things (tennis, golf and italy!) and we used that crest on custom made burlap pillows, napkins, and every single bottle of wine served at the party and given as a favor! We decorated with flowers designed by us! What a labor of love, respect your floral designers people! It's HARD work!!!

OK Guys I am so sorry, we've been a litle M.I.A. in the blog department. It's not for lack of things to blog about I PROMISE YOU....it's just that we've been so incredibly busy this summer it's been virtually to tweet, or blog in weeks. Some super exciting things are happening in the world of oh so fab, we will tell you more soon, but for right now just know we've been super busy and excited about some really amazing things.

In the meantime, we've got some great new press coming up. We just got word today that the gorgeous garden themed wedding at The Pleasantdale Chateau of Pam and Mike will be featured in the Winter issue of the one and only Inside Weddings.

And FINALLY I was asked to contribute some fun "insider" information for The Knot's next issue. Look for my picture and some words of wisdom about finding the perfect venue!

We had the honor of getting to know a GREAT new wedding film maker Peter Ferriero of Gabelli Studio www.gabellistudio.com in Verona, NJ at our LBD Event last weekend.

This is just gorgeous. You see something in real life and it's beautiful...but then someone as talented as Desiree from dmdc photography captures it on film and it takes your breath away!

Here are our two over the top and unique table designs we all whipped up as an amazing collaborative effort for our LBD event last weekend.

Our First tabletop was an "alice in wonderland" inspired take on a pretty and whimsical summer color palette with lots and lots of fun little details. This tabletop was the brainchild of oh so fab, Stem & Co, Elle Ette Designs and all rentals were from Cloth Connection and Something Different Party Rentals. Amazing!

Our second tabletop was a more modern feel, with a drop dead chandelier centerpiece from Floral Designs by Cindy, and lots and lots of bling inspired details from oh so fab, Elle Ette Designs, and again beautiful rentals from Cloth Connection and Something Different Party Rentals.

Ok So I am not allowed to post any pics yet besides detail images as per Jena because she didn't see them yet so in all fairness she is letting me be her wedding planner and post all my detail images thanks J!!!!!.. Jeff Tisman was kind enough to send me images so I could blog all the SUPER FABULOUSNESS that went on last month. THIS wedding was insane. I am just so excited and thrilled with the results, not only because the wedding had a personal attachment to my heart but because the design was truly amazing. I have to take this moment to thank all my FRIENDS in the industry that really truly did me proud.

Thank you first to Floral Design by Cindy for the outstanding floral design, Cindy you out did yourself this time! To Jeanne Costello for her GENEROUS and amazing contributions to the event, from the lounge furniture, to the custom shades and throw pillows and even a last minute trip to IKEA!

Thank you to Ken at Event Lights for always being professional and so amazing at what you do, the room looked insane! To Patty at Something Different Party Rentals for the gorgeous chairs, chargers and my FAVORITE the white dance floor (Vin that was for you). To NYC Swing, you guys were outrageous, and to Greg at Revolutions Entertainment for the sick beats that came at just the most perfect times during the night.....To Julie Goldman at the Original Runner co, the runner MADE the church, it was amazing. To Tony Santana, the cigar rolling was a big big HIT! To the gang at Carlo's Bake Shop that cake was even more gorgeous that we had hoped! (that ridiculous bottom layer was all custom florals and crystals from Cindy!) To Helen at cloth connection for the beautiful linens.

Robin Kornett, my uber talented lovely I was especially thankful to you for coming out of "retirement" for this event, it meant the world to me to have you on board! To Calligraphy by Jennifer for the beautiful hand written envelopes and place cards, to my buddy Ray Roman for what I know will be the sickest and most insane video (sneek peak needs to happen soon hint hint) and to my new fabulous friend Jeff Tisman for the most outrageous photos I have ever seen, I can say as someone who was THERE that you captured everything so perfectly and so pure, kudos kudos kudos.

BUT most importantly, I had to thank my girls of oh so fab. Christy and Allyson you really worked your butt's off to make this day perfect for Jena (and for me) I know it wasn't easy to handle the boss' "baby" but you did it with professionalism and perfection that made me so proud to work with you both. Thank you a million times and I love you both to pieces. (and thank you so much to our great interns who really had to hustle ALL DAY and did a great job!) And you all survived my "come to Jesus" moment in the ballroom, sorry girls it wouldn't have been a normal oh so fab day with out one minor Tina freak out.....

And Finally thank you to the ladies at the JC Hyatt, Kristine and Monica who went above and beyond service to make everything run so smoothly and perfectly all night long. The evening was a success due in part to both of you and the hard work you put in for this event!

This is the real Jersey Shore...the gorgeous shore that we all know! What an amazing event we pulled off in SIX WEEKS from start to finish! Our amazing couple Anna and Michael were such a pleasure to work with, it was so amazing to create this elegant, and modern design with Anna but so sad we did it in such a short time!

The Berkeley Hotel in Asbury Park was the perfect setting for her small destination wedding (her family and friends hail from Sweden!) while Michael is from Jersey.

The planning, and the entire experience was amazing.

We are so excited for our first Philly wedding in quite a while! Our newest bride Vernika came to us with exquisite taste and an eye for detail that we truly love in a client! She wanted a classic, dramatic but UNIQUE wedding with a gold/creams/white color story. She wanted a pop color, so I took a shot with a pale turquoise and it looked outrageous! As always you've got to love the amazing designs from Floral Designs by Cindy, Something Different Rentals, Cloth Connection Linens and Laura Hooper Calligraphy for the classic menus. Looking forward to this end of summer event!

Every now and then, as a designer, you get a chance to work on something super fun and unique and totally out of the box. We had the honor of working with an amazing and fun couple Kim & Ian this past year on their totally unique and funky wedding that truly embodied their old hollywood style. Kim and Ian wanted the wedding to be THEM....they started out handing me a list of everything they loved ranging from Hello Kitty and all things Disney to Leopard Print.....Now you know I ran with the leopard....With the help of some of our amazing friends in the design industry we pulled off an amazing one of a kind event that looked like nothing I have ever done before.

I am proud of this event, and you've just got to love a bride in a red dress!

Wow is all I can say. This was an amazing experience with a beautiful couple from start to finish. There's something to be said about gorgeous design, a beautiful venue and a wonderful client relationship, it just makes EVERYTHING so worth while! Pamela and Michael came to us only 6 months ago, and asked us to step in and make their wedding something special, classic and unique. Christy and I really enjoyed working with some very basic and simple concepts, that we "fabbed" up in our usual way! Pam and Mike truly trusted us and let us really plan an amazing and sophisticated event. We were so pleased with the results.

We have got some amazing design coming at ya! We are so excited to be working with this amazing couple, Pamela and Mike who are having such a LAVISH and elegant Spring event. We had an amazing tabletop design meeting this week and we are so excited for the design. The event is going to be classic with gold accents, champagne linens, custom gold beaded overlays on some of the tables and amazing pale pink, green and ivory flowers. All of this will be tied together with the delicate touch of pearls. So excited to use pearls! And cameos! My heart be STILL.

Cake Boss!

Today we had the pleasure of having a tasting with the one and only Carlo's Bake Shop AKA TLC's "Cake Boss" in Hoboken, NJ.

We have enlisted Carlo's for my BFF's FABULOUS wedding cake for her June event. They were, as always, lots of fun and a pleasure to work with and we can not WAIT to see the design this summer! While the world has recently gotten to know who Carlo's Bake Shope is after seeing them on TV, we have had the honor of working with them for several years now as they've been a favorite in the industry nationwide for decades. We are excited for our May wedding at Addison Park with a super fun and adorable couple Kimberly and Ian. They came to us with a quirky list of tons of fun stuff, ranging from Hello Kitty (yes hello kitty) to Art Deco inspired vintage Hollywood...we opted for the later!

Here are some sneek peeks at the gorgeous florals that Floral Designs By Cindy came up with for the event, paired with some beautiful table top accents. Can't wait for the event it's going to be so unique and a total knock out!

We are delighted to announce that our gorgeous New Year's Eve Wedding at the gorgeous Florentine Gardens (which we are now the recommended Event Designers for!) will be featured in the next issue of The Knot Magazine!

We are happy, not only to get the amazing PR for the feature but because we adored this wonderful couple and we are so happy for them! They will also be featured on the upcoming new TV series " My Real Wedding, with The Knot" air date TBD!

Eco Friendly Table Tops!

The lovely and taltented Alicia Vitarelli, morning anchor and "BuckWild"creator for News 12 NJ is a friend to all of us at oh so fab. We had the pleasure of working with her last year for a wonderful segment all about spending wisely during your planning experience.

We were thrilled when she asked us to team up with her again for a segment about doing our part to protect the environment and create some Green/Eco Friendly table top ideas that anyone can pull together with a little creativiy.

With the help of the talented Glenn Wolski from Stem & co we created two very different but Eco Friendly Scapes. One was a Nautical/Beach inspired look and the other a very natural, modern design with earth tones and clean lines. We used all natural linens like denim, cotton and burlap on the tables. Glenn used succlents, shells, soy and beeswax candles to create the centerpieces that are easily replicated for the DIY bride!

Special thanks to Cloth Connection, Party Rental ltd, Stem & Co, SJ Engraving, Laura Hooper Calligraphy The Original Runner Co for sending over some eco friendly samples of aisle runners and especially to the amazing Images By Berit for the gorgeous photos!

We will just call it "the wedding that keeps on giving"! This is the second round of press for the beautiful event we did this Summer in Boca Raton for Rip and TJ Hamilton. This is a very high end Southern Florida publication called "Palm Beach Weddings Illustrated".

Last night Christy and I *and our husbands who suddenly took such interest in one of our clients* were invited to be guests of our FAVORITE client Rip Hamilton as his team the Detriot Pistons took on the NJ Nets...Sorry NJ we are supposed to root for the home town team but last night we were Piston's fans!

It was so great to see Rip, what a great guy!

Thanks to Marie Labbancz for these beautiful images of the classic and sophisticated wedding of Lina and Charlie this month at The Venetian. The event was designed by Christy with the help of Floral Designs by Cindy, Laura Hooper Calligraphy, Party Rental ltd. , and The Cloth Connection. This event was filled with special vintage touches and some very personal and culturally important Portugese traditions as both the bride and groom have roots in Portugal.

Well, I must say I am super excited to announce yet another oh so fabulous production that will be featured in another magazine spread this year!

The adorable, warm & fuzzy Cape May wedding of Michelle and Paul this October will be featured in the Summer 2010 issue of (201) Bride Magazine.

This couple was simply amazing, probably the most laid back couple we've ever worked with. We wish them nothing but the best and we can't wait to see the spread in the coming months.

NEW PRESS: Favors favors favors!!!

We were delighted to collaborate with Laura Adams, Editor of (201) Bride Magazine on this fun styling project. The challenge? Find a way to make three very common, humdrum everyday edible items into something interesting and unique for your guests to take away at the end of the night. I am a strong believer in usable favors, which usually translates into anything you can eat or drink. So our solution was to come up with three different favors, and show you how to showcase them in two very different ways.

I have to thank my ingenious and forward thinking staff, especially GG for going on a mission through the streets of Bergen County hunting down cool favor packaging with one condition from yours truly "Don't come back with anythign we've used before, get CREATIVE" and that she did! She went everywhere from Home Depot to the Container Store and just about everywhere in between. What an amazing result! Jenn was my style maven who stepped in to really help make them look outrageous at the photo shoot.

One of our planners, Allyson, lost her nephew Owen to a terrible disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). SMA is the #1 killer of children under the age of two. We are beyond delighted to announce the brand spanking new relationship between oh so fabulous and one of the most beautiful and successful event spaces in NJ, The Estate at Florentine Gardens.

We are so excited to be a part of this family of professionals, as we will be the recommended event designer on their recommended vendor list. We have been approached by several venues to get on board as a recommended vendor, but we've always been very careful as to make sure we associated our brand with venue that had a great reputation in this very unforgiving industry.

After the amazing event New Year's Eve, we can't wait to get in there and design tons and tons more!

Today we were delighted to find out that the beautiful over the top Greek Extravaganza that we designed for the adorable Mariella and Mitch who were married this past October at Naninas in the Park. The wedding will be featured in the upcoming issue of NJ Bride

....And to boot another amazing wedding (one of my faves) that we designed for Tiffany and Matt at The Chart House in September is being picked up for the following issue in NJ Bride!

And last but CERTAINLY not least we are THRILLED to announce that the gorgeous wedding of Tricia and Raheem at Studio 450 this past November is going to be in the next issue of the one and only Inside Weddings magazine.

Tuesday we went into The City to meet with Phillip and Megan from Classic Party Rentals. We were delighted to see all the gorgeous new inventory they had in their Manhattan showroom! I especially LOVED this fabulous Gold Paisley Charger Plate and Chameleon Chair for our June Indian Wedding Extravaganza we are currently designing for at the prestigious New York Public Library, it goes perfectly with our color story!

We are so excited to be featured in the new issue of New Jersey Bride showcasing this beautiful event we designed last Spring for a fun couple, Eric and Kimberly!
The event was a blast and it was fun transforming the space at The Newark Club (the images from this event are now on their magazine advertisement, what an honor!) Special thanks to Jenn at EgoMedia Photography for the gorgeous images, Cindy Zack at Floral Designs by Cindy for the outrageous floral decor, Jeanne Costello for transforming this room with the amazing draping, Triumph Display Group for the pillows the bride absolutely loved, The World of Illumination for the great lighting, Party Rental, ltd for the beautiful rentals, Carolyn Stith at Bella Dia Custom Invitations for the day of stationery suite, and Robin K. for the help with the last minute monogram design! And thanks to Jersey Street Furniture for the all white lounge the couple loved and guests enjoyed all night. A special thanks to Artie and his great staff at The Newark Club for allowing us to have some fun with the already lovely space!

Hello 2010!

What better way to end a great year than with a fabulous wedding..and I can't think of a better way to start a new year than with another fabulous event!

Christy designed a gorgeous, vintage inspired event for Lina and Charlie, a beautiful couple that she's been working with since the Spring. The event was at The Venetian, in their new gorgeous ballroom. We love working here and the staff is always so great!

Christy created a black/white/silver color story with lots of hand written calligraphy from Laura Hooper, and plenty of bling from none other than the one and only Floral Designs by Cindy.

With beautifully rouched white pintuck overlays from The Cloth Connection, tall crystal glass vases with crystals and tiny touches of pink and green, Lina's vision was brought to life with the help of Chrsity. The strong and unexpected black chivari chairs with pewter cushions helped make the pinks and greens pop, and the soft and elegant classic glass chargers with silver beads from Party Rental, ltd really completed the design!

Happy New Year!

Well it is a new year and we already have a beautiful new wedding to show you! Thursday night, we had the pleasure of ringing in the new year with one of the most adorable and gracious couples we've ever had the honor or working with, Marissa and Marcus! This couple was super fun and trusted us 100% to make their black and white New Year's Eve vision come to life. Over a year ago, we presented them with the idea of black and white damask....a year later it started popping up everywhere so we tried hard to really make the design stand out and used fun and non floral props like lamps (I mean literally from Homegoods people!) and lots of damask fabric in our design. We turned up the color with pops or red/burgundy/hot pink ONLY in the flowers and room lighting. The big fun surprise of the night was a custom cigar heated cigar lounge we put outside that Marissa surprised Marcus with after midnight. He went absolutely nuts and so did the guests. I have never seen so many people enjoying cigars as I did this night! Such a great way to ring in the new year!

I wanted to give a special shout out to Mary Mazzone, cousin of our bride and her company Ciao Bella Floral Design....she gave Marissa the most amazing gift of her time and skills as an amazing floral designer and she worked up until about 1 hour before the reception started as her florist and then changed her clothes and returned as her cousin to the wedding! Mary I hope this is the start of something huge for you, you are very talented and your work is amazing, it was such a pleasure collaborating with you on this fun venture!! xoxoxo
