And now for something COMPLETELY different....

Every now and then, as a designer, you get a chance to work on something super fun and unique and totally out of the box. We had the honor of working with an amazing and fun couple Kim & Ian this past year on their totally unique and funky wedding that truly embodied their old hollywood style. Kim and Ian wanted the wedding to be THEM....they started out handing me a list of everything they loved ranging from Hello Kitty and all things Disney to Leopard Print.....Now you know I ran with the leopard....With the help of some of our amazing friends in the design industry we pulled off an amazing one of a kind event that looked like nothing I have ever done before.

I am proud of this event, and you've just got to love a bride in a red dress!

Congrats to Kim and Ian and special thanks to JeffreyVock Photography for the beautiful images, Floral Designs by Cindy for the over the top flowers, Something Different Party Rentals, EventLights, Addison Park, The Cloth Connection, Calligraphy by Jennifer, Edible Essentials (the minnie and mickey cookies were a hit) Jeanne Costello Designs for my favorite leopard custom napkins, The Original Runner Co. for the perfectly red roses runner and to Carolyn of Bella Dia for the beautiful stationery suite. and again special thanks for Leann and Brittany two fab interns who really REALLY helped this day run so smooth...tough turnaruond time and lots of other things going on at the venue made for tricky set up but with their help we had a seamless and problem free day!

Recently I was asked to serve on the board as Event's Planner for the NYC chapter of Wish Upon a Wedding. I am proud to be a part of this very special cause and I am proud to say we are having all vendors participating in our Little Black Dress Event on July 18th donate a percentage of proceeds from the event OR services to a WUW event in the tri state area.

Elegance at The Pleasantdale Chateau

Wow is all I can say. This was an amazing experience with a beautiful couple from start to finish. There's something to be said about gorgeous design, a beautiful venue and a wonderful client relationship, it just makes EVERYTHING so worth while! Pamela and Michael came to us only 6 months ago, and asked us to step in and make their wedding something special, classic and unique. Christy and I really enjoyed working with some very basic and simple concepts, that we "fabbed" up in our usual way! Pam and Mike truly trusted us and let us really plan an amazing and sophisticated event. We were so pleased with the results.

Special thanks to Images by Berit for the gorgeous teaser pics, Stem & C0. for the lovely florals, The Cloth Connection for all the custom AMAZING linens, Classic Party Rentals, EventLights, Laura Hooper Calligraphy (the stationery was stunning) Jeanne Costello for the AMAZING custom tufted band backdrop and Vanity and Mascara for Pam's gorgeous look!

We also had some amazing new interns who worked really hard all day to get the job done, thanks to Alicia and Susan!
