HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well 2009 is finally here! What a year 2008 was for oh so fab. It was a year of special family milestones for two of our staff members (including myself!) and two more staff members are going to be blessed early this year with two new arrivals! We had some staff changes this year, we lost two of our most fabulous planners Melissa and Sarah who have moved on to new career paths, but we gained two AMAZING girls, Amy and Angela in late 2007.

We set two goals for ourselves this past year; To get the opportunity to be on Platinum Weddings after so many times of being JUST about there then something fell through one way or another. And our second goal we achieved was to get into the very coveted pages of Inside Weddings Magazine. I am SO proud of myself and my staff for reaching these very prestigious goals, and I am so honored to be able to put this on my resume!

This year we "took it easy" so to speak, with two of us down (well I wouldn't say having a baby is being down but you get it) I lightened up the work load, took on less full planned events and really wanted to focus on family. Well we are MORE than making up for that in 2009 and 2010 where we are completely booked solid for September and October which has become our busiest season thus far.

We are so excited to work on all the fabulous designs for our new batch of couples and we are looking forward to 5 magazine features ALREADY and it's only the 2nd day of the new year! (201 Bride, Inside Weddings, The Knot, NJ Bride, Contemporary Bride but who's counting?)

We wanted to thank all of our clients, past...present and future for your continued support and I would like to say thank you to my amazing staff for being the best and for always making me proud!

BRING IT 2009 we're ready for you!

Happy Holidays everyone! I wanted to take this time to wish everyone a wonderful and safe holiday season and a FAB new year! It's been a crazy year with this tough economy but the last few months of 2008 have proven to be a frenzy for new clients and some amazing new events that we've been fortunate enough to have been hired for in 2009 and 2010! To all our past clients from the year we appreciate your business, and to all our new clients we look forward to working with you over the next year or two!

Rebecca & Andres

Christy recently was thrilled to work with Rebecca and Andres, they were THE sweetest couple! Christy and the couple started the planning process well over a year ago for their September 21, 2008 wedding. It was a smaller wedding and Christy said she had never met more gracious guests and family, it was just a pleasure. Cindy http://floraldesignsbycindy.com created the most gorgeous arrangments for her, Carolyn from http://belladia.com put together a stationery suite that had the guests raving from the moment the save the dates went out. World of Illumination http://worldofillumination.com helped create our orange and green theme with a gorgeous wash of color that changed after the entree was served.

Turkey Is FABULOUS

The Gals of Oh So Fab wish you and yours (I love saying that) a wonderful Thanksgiving.
We all have a lot to be thankful for, a new year coming, with a NEW Fab president, and hopefully positive changes to the economy!

I am thankful for my amazing family, and wonderful children. And I am grateful for my fantastic staff and of course where would I be without the support of my fabulous friends!

We have had a great year at oh so fab, it was a BIG year for change and for new opportunities in some really amazing high end TV shows and Magazines. We are looking forward to all the great events we are working on for 2009 and 2010 and we thank all of our clients and future clients for their unwavering support!

Here is what I am most thankful for. My beautiful babies who inspire me to be better and do more every single day....

Bar Mitzvah Showcase

Today we were at the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown, NY all day for a Bar Mitzvah Event Showcase. It was a great day, our booth was buzzing all day long. We couldn't rest for a moment, as we had potential clients devouring our candy buffet and taking our water bottles all day. We met a lot of cool vendors and had a great turnout. Here are some pictures from the event. A special thanks goes out to Sharon and Jenn for staying there with me from 9am until 5pm! And to GG for creating the beautiful candy infused floral display that caught the attention of SO many potential clients! Also thank you to Carolyn of Bella-Dia Custom Invitations who cranked out the adorable water bottle labels and straw tags for us, AND to For Your Party for getting the candy bags to us so quickly!

Died and went to Pleasantdale Chateau

It's hard to believe that with all the gorgeous weddings we have planned over the years that we have never had the pleasure of working at the famous and absolutely stunning Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, NJ. Well that is all about to change as we are designing a gorgeous event that will take place at The Chateau next June with our lovely couple Erica and Joe. Erica came to me before she event booked a venue and on a whim I said "Go see Pleasantdale" She pretty much booked the day she went on her first site visit and you can see why. It was great to meet Lisa who is amazing and we look forward to working at this historical and elegent venue next year!

Upcoming Press!

As usual, oh so fab is cranking out 3 more features in up and coming bridal magazines that will all hit stands in January.

First NJ Bride will feature Tina about wedding planning with some fun Q&A with Molly Tully, NJ Bride Editor.

Second, a lovely couple we worked with last Summer, Jill and Michael will have their wedding featured in the newly re-vamped Contemporary Bride Magazine. GG planned this beautiful event at The Palace at Somerset last August.

And finally we are SO excited about the National feature of the fantastic funky and fun centerpiece that GG and Tina created for Brides Magazine that will be a part of their next issue!

BUT IT DOESN'T END THERE

Just got word that three of our amazing weddings from this fall will ALL be featured in 2009

Our gorgeous wedding from October that we shot for Platinum Weddings will be featured in the one and only INSIDE WEDDINGS.

The Long Branch South Beach inspired wedding of Liz & Andy is getting picked up by The Knot AND the beautiful wedding of Lauren and Billy that Amy and Tina worked on for months at Skylands Manor will be a feature in the next issue of (201) Bride Magazine!

Nothing is more rewarding than a happy couple and then some well earned publicity in an amazing publication. We work so hard to make our client's happy and it's really the icing on the cake to be chosen to be a part of these great magazines!
